Welcome to the first issue of the semester. Due to the state of our budget, we will only be producing four issues of The Beacon in print format this semester. We will, however, focus our attention with the online version of The Beacon. While there is something to be said for holding a physical object in your hands, the online Beacon has many potential elements that could work to our advantage and creativity.
For one, it can be updated and published any time of the week. News items, stories, and events will be more relevant and up-to-the-minute. Something that occurs today can be read tonight, instead of three weeks from now.
There is also the possibility of hosting more images, slideshows, videos, podcasts, blogs, forums, and a host of other electronic media goodies.
If any student has the desire to design our webpage, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us. We would love to have you on board and could definitely use your help.
